THE QUEER WORLD OF PROVERBS

Single lines of persuasion
Potent choice of words
Timeless and figurative is its nature
A true teacher, a real guide, a proverb
Didactic and universally accepted
Two grand meanings of a lone proverb
However, peculiar as it suddenly becomes
Combine when, with a similar yet contrasting adage
Like, good things come to those who wait
But all good things must come to an end
Goodness for all, is thus, a temporary phase
And eternity shall render even more
Two heads are better than one
Four eyes see more than two
Many hands do make light work
All similar, yet nothing different
In making a sane decision
One mind may miss what another catches
But what if the decision goes awry?
Then do too many cooks spoil the broth?
Here we are, at the end
As everything must come to an end
But every end has a new beginning
And so, the journey starts off again!
