My School Days
Wake up Harry! Was my mom’s call
When the world around me was half-stalled
Quickly I jumped off the bed with a 180o spin
When I heard the footsteps and the sound of the rolling pin
A quick breakfast and a long wait for the bus
Was an endeavor that kept me in a stagy fuss
Catching me unaware, ‘twas the sound of the honk
AHOOGA! AHOOGA! B-I-L-L-Y B-I-L-L-Y BONG BONG!
The most hilarious of all teachers, Mr. Alfred De Melo
Would say in a faint voice, a lengthy hello
A master of disguise, a loquacious orator,
Knew the art of confusing even the principal, Mr. Pew Crocator
The teacher’s pet was, what I was acclaimed for
A tag that was nothing less than a misnor
But, when the teacher was hot under the collar
I was, by my colleagues, the ultimate holler
